Best Wedding ever!
We booked the Bear and Bison Inn 13 years ago today for our wedding venue, and continue to make pilgrimage here once or twice annually ever since. What can we say about the experience here? The service is first rate. The staff are always friendly and accommodating no matter how many times we have been here. The culinary experience is amazing – the owner (Lonny) is a professional chef – and his care and attention to detail certainly shows in the preparation and presentation! They have also proven extremely proactive in accommodating for allergies. We always consider the Bear and Bison Inn our “home away from home” – and will continue to do so in the future! The rooms are clean, the views are spectacular and ambience cultivates an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. It is always our first choice for booking every time we come to Canmore. Lonny takes pride, care and attention into his work and everything he touches. And it shows! Magical from start to finish
From the moment we arrived we never had a single thing to complain about. The wedding package was phenomenal. Everything was magical (thanks again!) They handle all the details so it was a stress free day. Our wedding dinner was easily one of the best meals I’ve had with brilliant drink pairings. Even with a celiac and vegan’s dietary needs it was handled perfectly. Everyone that contributed to the day, Lonny and Eugenie at the Inn, Twyla our officiant, Michael our photographer, his wife who made the bouquet, lol and all the additional staff that made the day possible. Beyond Our Expectations!My partner and I decided to elope and chose the Bear Essentials package. From the moment we arrived both Eugenie and Lonny treated us like royalty. Every concern we had was taken care of, and the end result was more than I could have imagined. Well worth it and would definitely recommend. We are already planning to go back for our anniversary! “There are not enough good things or words to say that sum up our time at Bear and Bison. It’s one thing to do business, we felt welcomed into someone’s home. As someone with celiac disease, the tailored breakfast and care given to making the experience as “typical” as everyone else’s didn’t go unnoticed. The staff are exemplary, the room was immaculate (who doesn’t love an in-suite jacuzzi), the view from our private balcony was unparalleled. We will definitely be back, and will choose A Bear and Bison first every time going forward. Thank you for the incredible stay for our perfect mountain getaway.”

“We were truly blown away by the hospitality, kindness, service, warmth and professionalism of Lonny, Megan, all the other staff at the Inn, all the vendors and really..every single person we met in Canmore! Our wedding day was more perfect than we could’ve hoped and we totally left it all in the Inn’s hands. If you want a stress-free wedding day in the most beautiful place in the world..seriously, look no further. I cried when it was time for us to leave and I’m already counting down the days until we can return for our anniversary.”

The view from the balcony was beautiful. It was wonderful to wake up to such a beautiful sight. The room itself was really nice with a king bed and jacuzzi. In the morning a 3 course breakfast meal was delivered right to our door. You can’t beat breakfast in bed with a view that’s for sure. Amazing!! Definitely will be coming back!!”

It is Super Clean and Cozy
“Absolutely lovely INN! We had great time with y husband. It is super clean, cozy and the breakfast was very tasty, fresh and exceeded the expectations! Would definitely recommend! Oh and the jacuzzi in the room was just amazing!”

Wonderful Stay!A very nice and comfy room. Breakfast, prepared by Lonny, the owner and chef, was fantastic. Lonny is also a first-rate tour guide. We visited the Banff, Lake Louise, and icefield areas while staying here, and mostly followed daily activities recommended by Lonny.
