Casual Service Menu ~ Chef’s Notes

The idea behind this series of menus is to have an offering of something that is of the highest quality, while maintaining a more relaxed, casual atmosphere, in a lower price range.

Notes to help you plan:

Seasonal availability~ check to see what season each menu is offered~

Summer season, May 1st to October 31st.

Winter season, November 1st to April 30th,

Service time ~ In order to keep the prices low, these menus are designed with a 60 minute, serve time. We will have the dinner set up for say 6 p.m. and maintain it until 7 p.m.

Minimum numbers ~ are in place, to cover the cost of running these styles of dinner. If you have rented the entire Inn and would like to have one of these dinner options but you are below the minimum number, we would require a supplement of ½ the price of the missing number of guests in addition to the cost of the attending guests at full price. Please remember we do require final confirmation of numbers, 3 p.m. the day before the dinner or your last email confirmed number will stand.

Maximum numbers ~ with these menus the capacity is limited due to seating and buffet configurations. During summer months, ask about raising it for outdoor dining.

Self-served dinners ~ these are buffet style, with the service during dinner being, the clearing of tables, and clean up. If you would like to upgrade these to full service please ask for the additional costs (linens, table settings, table service, beverage service, coffee tea, desserts, etc.)

Please note all food and beverage must be provided by the inn, exceptions are made for Wine, (purchased in Alberta, not “home made wine”) with corkage fee per 750 ml bottle.

Wedding cake, you may bring in your wedding cake or alternative to a wedding cake, (cupcakes, cake pops, etc), a plating fee of $2.50 per person will be applied.

Upgrades are available ~ designed to take these menus to another level while still maintaining great value. Upgrades vary depending on the base menu, please ask.

Coffee & Tea service is available for $3.75 per person and can be added to any menu.

Options for Children ~ Kids Between the ages of 2 and 11 can eat off of these menus for $15.75

Can we use these menus for our main wedding dinner or just as a seated dinner? Yes.
a slight fee will be added to the cost of the menu per person and cover linens, servers and the extras set up required to make these menu’s just that little bit more. See menu for details.

(V) symbolizes options that are suitable for Vegetarians and or even Vegans (most times) with minor changes made to the individual’s dish. Please ensure that we know ahead of time, who and how many vegetarians or vegans you have in your group

Best Wedding Venue in the Rockies

I got married on April 28, 2025 at the Bear and Bison Inn, and it was the best decision I could’ve made. We had 64 guests and we stayed two nights at the Inn. My number one compliment to this venue is the staff. Right from the beginning Lonny was a very responsive with emails and helping guide me through wedding planning. There were no hidden fees and everything was very professional and thought out. The day of the rehearsal dinner, check-in was smooth and Brooke and Barbara immediately started setting up all the little details I had planned. The service at the Inn was just incredible and they were so nice and reassuring. The staff were hands down one of the highlights of my wedding. The food was a 10/10 and everyone loved our tapas style dinner the day of the wedding. I was so impressed how efficiently food was distributed to everyone and how guests with dietary restrictions were provided for.

Our bartender was fantastic and even gave us tips on the best spots for pictures. The hot tub was a great feature and all the rooms were beautiful. BREAKFAST was unreal both days, and guests commented on how wonderful the whole space was. I can’t recommend this place enough. Definitely a cozy space that felt like I was getting married in a cabin tucked away in the mountains. Perfect for smaller intimate weddings. This venue is VERY experienced with what they do and can guide you to decisions that work best for everyone!
