A Look Back at Our Mountain Weddings

Each year, we have the privilege of being a venue of choice for many Canmore weddings and elopements. Each one unique and beautiful in its own way, which is really one of the best things about it. You can drink beer out of a canoe or enjoy a pyramid of Champagne, go all out and fill the Inn or elope in our quiet forest grove planting a tree in memory, enjoy the finest cuisine or have s’mores around the campfire. Your wedding is whatever you want it to be!

With a New Year and new beginnings, for our all the couples in the exciting, and mildly terrifying planning-phase, we thought we’d look back at some of our favorite dresses, rings, cakes, food and decorations.

It’s All About the Dress

Selecting a wedding dress is a journey. Our couples have beautifully incorporated mountain elegance with the latest trends, adding a Canmore flair to their attire.

Cakes That Tell a Story

Choosing a Canmore Wedding, our couples have truly embraced the mountains theme with their cakes. From axe wielding masterpieces to cakes adorned with edible gold leaf, the creativity has been astounding. However, we’re still waiting for a cake-topper featuring a bear and a bison!

Wildflower Wonders

We’ve seen many stunning floral choices with vibrant wildflowers that reflect the surrounding natural beauty. The bouquets and centerpieces have been nothing short of breathtaking.

Rings

You’ll remember your wedding for the rest of your life, but your wedding rings showcase the beauty of your love and commitment each and every single day.

Shoes

Gone are the days when wedding shoes had to be towering heels, although we still do see some! You can be walking down the aisle in chic, embroidered sneakers or elegant flats that blend seamlessly with the natural setting. It’s entirely up to you. Practicality, traditional elegance, or a bit of flair for fun!?

The Details

Every detail offers an opportunity to let yourselves shine. We’ve witnessed a tonne of creativity but more importantly, a tonne of fun! Pickles… really? But why not! It’s truly enjoyable to see something totally unexpected,

Cheers to Love

The signature cocktails have been a hit! Drinks inspired by the wilderness, featuring ingredients like pine-infused gin and blackberry liqueur, have added a fun twist to the celebrations. We hope we planted that seed early enough… we would love to serve beer our of a canoe one day!

Picture Perfect Moments

There aren’t many Canmore Wedding Photographers that miss out on the mountains as the backdrop, and for that, we are grateful! The brides, radiant with happiness, with the wilderness as their backdrop, have made for some truly unforgettable moments.

Treats from Chef

Sometimes it IS all about the food! Make sure you connect with Chef Lonny, he’s absolutely seen it all and has some amazing creations of his own that will ensure everyone is happy.

Outdoor Glory

We love outdoor weddings and so do most of our amazing couples, it’s probably why they chose us… the log cabin vibe, mountain backdrop, crisp mountain air. Our Fire & Ice package has been a huge hit every winter. Fire, ice, love, what’s not to like?

We’re grateful to all our couples for letting us be a part of their special day. Here’s to many more Canmore Wedding celebrations of love amidst the mountains! Please reach out if you have any questions. We are happy to help, or connect you with just the right person!

A Bear and Bison Inn on Trip Advisor

Lovely place to stay! Just like the photos! Had spare blankets and hot tub hours are a bit flexible and such a life saver after a long day of adventuring!
